A Bar / Kitchen in walnut, Valchromat and Foresso

One of my favourite projects so far. This huge bar is part of a wonderful refurbishment, and was a right old challenge - I used new materials and techniques to produce a really impressive entertaining space.

The carcasses are made from black valchromat, with charcoal Foresso worktops and fluted panels. The walnut in the worktops, panels and floor all tie the room together. LED downlighting below lends the bar an impression of floating.

Below the bartop, there’s lots of open shelves for storing glasses and bar stock. There’s also three cupboards and two drawers. A large beer fridge is, of course, essential!

On top, there’s mirror-backed units for wine and spirit bottles, as well as wine glass racks. LED lighting twinkles throughout.

There’s a basin and tap for slops and fresh water, though washing up will be done in a dishwasher.

Finally, let’s have a close up look at that worktop and the fluted side panels. God they’re pretty.
